Working towards net zero
We take sustainability seriously and have begun working towards setting some ambitious targets to reduce our impact on the environment, and to make sure our contributions become greater than the impact of our business operations.
By partnering with independent organisation Energy Saving Trust (EST) we’re taking our approach to zero carbon to the next level, setting clear targets to reach net zero in line with the scientific consensus on what the trajectory to net zero should be, and taking clear, impactful action that will guide many of our business decisions in the future.
EST’s ‘Measure, Plan, Act’ service measures our greenhouse gas emissions and will support us in creating a net zero strategy based on science-based targets, and then implementing solutions to reduce emissions.
Key commitments for 2023 include measuring operations emissions across our buildings to make them more ‘green’ and taking steps towards a lower zero emission fleet.
Social sustainability
We partner with charities that align with our social sustainability aspirations and that help to make our communities more inclusive, safe and resilient. Colleagues fundraise, volunteer and raise awareness for a number of charities and not-for-profit organisations with a focus on diversity and inclusivity, and our corporate charity partnership is with leading mental health charity Mind.
